My Story
Finding My Passion
You wouldn’t believe it but I started off my life working with horses as a working pupil – it’s a tough job! Work all the hours, bugga all pay, get shouted at A LOT and work outside in rain, sun, snow, frost and more rain, oh and wind!
But you must start somewhere!
Then I decided I wanted to do my teaching qualifications I put myself through my BHS exams up to BHS Stage 4 Senior Coach. I have coached for the last 20 years with varying clients from grass roots through the national competition (mainly in dressage).
6 years ago, I decided I had had enough of my yard of horses and gave it up. I had lost the love of the cold, wet days and being the canon ball rider. But I still coached. Why? Because I love coaching people, seeing them succeed and achieve their dreams.
A few years ago I realised that I didn’t want to be stood outside coaching in all weathers, but I still wanted to coach. That will never leave me as being my passion. I was already on my own health and fitness journey, woke up one morning and realised that I should be coaching other people in theirs.
So, I did my PT qualifications. I have come from an industry where it’s hard to pass exams, into one that gives them out too easily. This shocked me!
I make it my mission to keep learning and get more educated to be the best I can possibly be for my clients today and in the future.
Along the way I noticed how much the health and fitness information is aimed at women who are 20-30. Once you hit post 40 (which I am very nearly), you’re pretty much forgotten about.
This didn’t sit right with me.
As most of my clients are of menopausal age, I decided that I would specifically try to help that woman
The woman who is busy, probably has a job, maybe a family, a house to run, is busy (I know I said that twice!) and is losing herself to menopause.
That is my passion. To help. To coach. To see my clients fly to new heights. And if you’re still not sure, then see what some of our ladies have to say about their journey with me.
